Adjustments
Control the feel of your image with clean, responsive adjustment sliders.
EMUL8’s Film Looks look great from the start, but if you want to dial in your own unique vibe, the Look Designer Module lets you shape your image exactly how you want it.
Add gentle film compression and subtle vignetteting that centers the viewer’s attention in seconds.
Color Density
Saturation but better. Our Density module mimics how film stock handles saturation. This means your colours become richer and darker as they become more saturated.
It lets you adjust Red, Green, Blue, Cyan, Magenta and Yellow independently.
But we also added a skintone slider as we know how hard it is to get them right.
Halation
Halation is that glowing red spill you see around bright areas in analog film. Caused by light bouncing off the film base and bleeding into darker parts.
You can't get this with LUTs so we built a real halation engine that lets you control intensity, threshold, hue, saturation and boost.
It also includes 4 tailored presets so you can go from subtle to nuclear in seconds.
Bloom
Create that dreamy, lifted glow without screwing a mist filter onto your lens.
Our digital Bloom lets you soften highlights right in post, giving you way more control than with physical filters.
Adjust your bloom in real time and add depth to your shots with zero commitment on set.
Chromatic Aberration
Beautifully imperfect. Our Chroma effect lets you add chromatic aberration to your image.
It subtly distorts the red, green and blue color channels around the edges, mimicking how real vintage lenses react to light.
Use it to add depth, imperfection and that organic feel modern lenses often lack.
Film Grain
Aesthetic Film Grain in 8mm, 16mm, 35mm and 65mm.
Our secret sauce: The variable Film Resolution. It reduces the harsh digital sharpness of your footage, creating a softer, more natural and film-like image.
