Refund policy

All CINEM8 products are digital downloads. As soon as your payment is confirmed, you get instant access to your files. There is nothing to return, so this page explains when and how you can get a refund.

Refund before download

Changed your mind? If you have not downloaded any files of your order yet, we refund your order in full within 14 days of purchase. Just send us an email with your order number. We can see in our system whether files have been downloaded.

After download

Digital files cannot be returned once they have been downloaded. That is why, after download, we do not offer refunds for a change of mind, for example because a product is no longer needed or a look does not match your taste. Please check the system requirements on the product page and try our free tools, such as the Film Look Tester for EMUL8, before you buy.

Technical problems

If a product does not work as described on a system that meets the requirements stated on the product page, please contact us at info@cinem8.co with details of your system (software version, operating system, hardware). We answer personally and will do our best to solve the problem. If we cannot fix it within a reasonable time, you will get a refund. Your statutory warranty rights remain unaffected.

Duplicate purchases

If you accidentally bought the same product twice, contact us and we will refund the duplicate order.

How to request a refund

Send an email to info@cinem8.co with your order number, or use our withdrawal form. Approved refunds are made to the original payment method within 14 days. Depending on your bank or payment provider, it may take a few more days until the amount shows up on your account.

Statutory right of withdrawal for consumers in the EU

If you are a consumer, you have a statutory right of withdrawal. For digital content, it expires once we have begun to provide the download at your express request. The full cancellation policy, including the model withdrawal form, is part of our Terms of Service (section 7). It reads as follows:

Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day of the conclusion of the contract.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us (CINEM8.CO, Owner: Christian Grab, THE VOID c/o Impressumservice Dein-Impressum, Stettiner Straße 41, 35410 Hungen, Germany, email: info@cinem8.co) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by means of a clear statement (for example a letter sent by post or an email). You can also use the withdrawal function on our website at cinem8.co/pages/withdrawal. You may use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not obligatory.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Consequences of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you without undue delay and in any event not later than fourteen days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.

Early expiry of the right of withdrawal

In the case of a contract for the delivery of digital content that is not supplied on a tangible medium, the right of withdrawal expires as soon as we have begun to perform the contract (by providing the download), after you have expressly consented to us beginning the performance of the contract before the end of the withdrawal period, you have confirmed your knowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal through this consent once we begin to perform the contract, and we have provided you with a confirmation of the contract on a durable medium.

Business customers

Business customers have no statutory right of withdrawal. The refund before download and the rules for technical problems and duplicate purchases on this page apply to business customers as well.
